Windows software.
At home on Mac.
The software you need.
The Mac experience you love.
Right where you belong.
Windows software, thoughtfully connected
to the way you use your Mac.
Your applications
A little Windows. A lot of Mac.
Your familiar tools, together in one place.
Your software. Your workflow.
Keep the Windows tools you depend on, with your Mac at the center of the experience.
No Windows installation.
A dedicated runtime provides the environment software expects, without booting a Windows desktop.
Apple Silicon at heart.
Independent engineering, designed around the architecture and capabilities of your Mac.
Installed for Windows.
At home in Applications.
It belongs alongside the rest of your Mac software.
Not just inside a launcher.
- 01 / INSTALL
Start with your Windows software.
Install supported Windows desktop software through Vitreo, using its Windows installer.
- 02 / MAKE IT A MAC APPLICATION
A real macOS application.
Vitreo can create a macOS application for the installed software, connecting it to the Vitreo runtime.
- 03 / MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME
Put it in Applications.
Place that application in your Mac’s Applications folder and open it from there, alongside your other Mac software.
The macOS application launches your installed Windows software through Vitreo. The software itself still uses the runtime; the way you find and open it feels familiar.
For supported Windows desktop software. Microsoft Store apps are not supported yet.
Keep the app.
Lose the distance.
A familiar menu bar. Real Mac windows. The little things that make your workspace feel like yours.
Vitreo connects supported Windows interfaces to macOS, so standard windows, menus, and dialogs can feel right at home.

A new connection.
Built from the ground up.
Not a Wine frontend. Vitreo brings its own
execution engine, Windows API implementation,
and native macOS integration.
Real progress.
More to come.
Vitreo is in active, private development. Working milestones span desktop utilities, classic software, and demanding 3D workloads.
Next up: broader compatibility, faster execution, and refined rendering. Every step brings more of your software closer to home.
Compatibility varies. Performance optimization is ongoing.Desktop applications

A public release
Release date and licensing to come.
Register for the Beta.
A public release date has not been announced. The beta is for requesting access, receiving builds as they are released, and reporting results.
- 01 / ACCOUNT
Create an account.
A name, an email address, and a password. Registration includes acceptance of the beta terms.
- 02 / ACCESS
Request access.
The Mac you will use, and the Windows software you intend to run. Downloads remain unavailable until the request is approved.
- 03 / BUILDS
Download released builds.
As builds are released, an approved account can download them and verify each checksum.
- 04 / RESULTS
Report a result.
The application, the build in use, and whether it launched, partly worked, or failed.
Compatibility varies, and a beta build does not indicate support for any particular application.
Good questions.
Can my installed software live in the Applications folder?+
Yes. After installing supported Windows desktop software through Vitreo, you can create a real macOS application and place it in your Applications folder. Opening that application starts the installed software through the Vitreo runtime.
Does Vitreo support Microsoft Store apps?+
No. Microsoft Store apps are not supported yet. Vitreo currently focuses on Windows desktop software; compatibility varies by program.
Can I download Vitreo today?+
Not yet. A public release date has not been announced. Register for the Beta.
Will it run all Windows software?+
Compatibility varies by application and the APIs, dependencies, and graphics paths it uses. Development milestones do not guarantee support for every application. The examples above illustrate the product vision, not verified compatibility.
Is this a virtual machine or a Wine frontend?+
Neither. Vitreo is an independent Windows runtime with its own executable loader, x86/x64 execution engine, Windows API implementations, and macOS presentation layer. It does not require a Windows installation.
